Shadow Day Recruiting Event

The Dates have been set! Shadow Day will be held on Friday, January 29th and Monday, March 29th. Details will be posted soon on how to register.

What is Shadow Day?

This event was created by the college's Student Advisory Board as a way of helping students admitted to Georgia Tech's Liberal Arts College decide if our college is the best fit for them. This event has been such a success that the college has made Shadow Day an annual event. Shadow Day is produced by Elizabeth Miller, Undergraduate Coordinator for Student Services and the college's Student Advisory Board.

We want to emphasize that there is no other program like Shadow Day at Georgia Tech. While there are other visitation programs offered at Georgia Tech, the Shadow Day event is unique. Our focus is about providing you an inside look into your major and life as a Liberal Arts student at Georgia Tech. The entire day you will be surrounded by Liberal Arts students, faculty, and staff eager to answer your questions and to make your visit as productive and worthwhile as possible. If you are traveling from out-of-state and want more than a day's worth of activities, call us and we can work with you to plan a schedule.

How to Register

Registration for IAC Shadow Day 2010 is not scheduled to open until spring. If you are unable to attend and have questions or want to visit us, please do not hesitate to contact us.

"Last spring I attended IAC Shadow Day. It really stood out to me that they had a day specifically for liberal arts students. I liked that they cared enough and wanted to inform us more about the programs. I remember thinking that I would like to get involved with those people when I came to Tech."
"Shadow Day is the reason I came to Tech. I was accepted to well respected liberal arts- focused colleges up and down the East coast, but I was drawn to Tech on Shadow Day. I had originally planned on having an awful time; I had done everything but mailed my papers to another college. However, the access to nearly every professor in the college and the opportunity to speak with students who were truly passionate about thier specific liberal arts majors bewitched me."
